This t-shirt features a pair of dolphins in the two-tone age class. We've named these two "Poptart" and "Smolder" and they are part of the community of individuals in our study group. Calves that are approximately 1 - 3 years old are classified as "two-tone" meaning they only have gray and white coloration. The calf will spend most of its time nursing from its mother but will also be exposed to its mother's friends and other calves. In this time period, it will also learn how to catch fish and play with other calves. By age 3, calves start to gain a few spots on their ventral surface. As more spots appear, they will be reclassified to the "Speckled" age class. Your support helps us continue long-term non-invasive research of dolphins in the wild studying them "In Their World...On Their Terms."
