This t-shirt features a juvenile dolphin from our study group in the "Speckled" age class we've named "Littleprawn". By the age of 4, juvenile dolphins have gained spots on their ventral side and now begin to develop white spots on their dorsal surface. Also by this time, they likely have a new sibling and are no longer the main focus of their mother. Their main social group is composed of other juveniles and they are playful and exploratory. They display behavior such at mock fighting and mating, and often babysit younger calves. In the next age class, "Mottled", they are approximately 9-15 years old and become sexually mature. Your support helps us continue long-term non-invasive research on dolphins in the wild studying them "In Their World...On Their Terms."
